love California! My family and I are proud to call this
beautiful state our home.
I want to ensure that the future of California is as bright
and as promising for my daughter as it was for me. And
to do that we all need to be more accountable. Our state
government has failed to maintain a balanced and efficient
budget and as a result we are now on the verge of financial
ruin. To turn this ship around, we need to make some very
difficult choices in the years ahead. And these choices
must be made by good men and women who understand that
if you do not have the money, you can’t spend it.
My entire campaign will be built around this strategy.
We will save first and then spend—rather than the
current mentality of borrow first and spend. When elected
I will refuse a salary and use
this money to remove graffiti and repair potholes on the
Westside.
